Book Review: Expiration Date

Recently, I read a book about a woman who describes and details her magical search for love. But along the way, she also deeply explores the meaning of life and how we choose to live it.

Expiration Dates: A Novel

The backdrop of the story is the character's magical search for love. She gets a piece of paper at the start of each new relationship that tells her long it will last.

And along the way, the book exposes how messy and imperfect love is, but also how powerful and enduring.

One of its messages is that even though love cannot dictate or control the future (the way she initially thinks it can), it can provide a soft place to land and cushion your falls. And it can provide ways to protect you, even when it can't change your reality.

One of the book's questions, that I wanted to make sure I didn't forget goes something like this...

We are all living and dying. Which will you choose today?

Choosing Life & Expansion

To that question, I'd like to add, if you choose living today, how might you push the boundaries of that choice beyond 3D experience?

I loved the book, by the way! Let me know what you think, if you decide to read it.

See you tomorrow!

love, Jeanine

That “expiration” book sounds very interesting. Theee are questions definitively worth giving serious consideration to. Thanks for the recommendation. I will try to locate a copy for myself to read too.

Oh, neat! If you do, let me know what you think. There are several plot twists I wish i could talk about here but they would be major spoilers.

If I did that, my paper would only have one name on it that lasted a lifetime with perfect love.

Thanks for the recommendation, Jeanine. I’ve put a hold on it at the library. Seems like a popular book. I’ve been thinking about living and dying a lot lately. It’s that time in my life to ponder such.

I think about it, too, in connection to chronic illness. Apparently, chronic fatigue syndrome shortens your life expectancy. Let me know what you think when you read the book.
