Aftermath of the 2024 U.S. Election: Message for Lightworkers

11/7/2024

“If we don’t show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to cast a ballot again. America stands on the precipice of danger and those reluctant to vote for a presidential candidate risk relinquishing their control to an authoritarian regime.” - Oprah Winfrey, one day before the election.

Early Wednesday morning, on Novemver 6th, 2024, it was announced that Kamala Harris had lost the election. In response to that loss, understandably, many of her supporters are afraid.

When malevolence has been empowered on the national stage, responding with fear makes sense. And when you hoped for a different outcome, then you've sustained a loss, and feelings of grief are inevitable.

But then you have to find a way to cope and to move forward, so that you don't implode. Today, I want to share my own response and how I'm coping.

First, this, though. If you're feeling fear right now, as you are reading this, I want you to take several slow, deep breaths before you continue reading.

Picture
Remember: You will never be able to truly cancel out your fear. "There will always be fear, but it's important to remember that fear doesn't need to halt you," Raquel Martin, licensed clinical psychologist, told USA TODAY. "You can operate with a healthy level of fear."

What I'm Feeling
& How I'm Coping

I'm experiencing both grief and fear since the election, and here is what I am doing about it...

Giving myself as much love as I can and allowing love from the divine. One of the things I tell myself when I need to hear it (and now, am offering to you) is, "you are not alone. You are being tended to with love."

Reminding myself that fear constricts, but love ripples and empowers. Fear dissolves you, but love dissolves fear.

Acknowledging that when malevolence has been empowered, fear is a normal human response. But positional power cannot take away true power - it can only be given away. And I'm going to do my best to hang on to mine.

So my intention today (and for every tomorrow), in response to my own fear and grief is to sit with it, in and as love, and at the same time, offer those feelings to God.

I’m also going to use other mindful practices such as meditation and deep breathing to brings me back to the present moment. My hope is that these small acts of self-care and connection to the divine will bring me peace even as I continue grieving.

And by nurturing love, both for myself and others, I’m going to do my best to be the change I wish to see—a world where compassion and understanding prevail over fear and division.

Here are some ideas for managing your own grief and fear...

Picture

Self-Care Practices for Managing Your Grief and Fear

(1) Try to Connect with Nature: Nature has a grounding effect and may absorb some of your feelings as you experience it. I don't always get out in it, myself, but I find videos, and my own window view, to be powerful, too.

(2) Reach Out to those You Love: Talk to your friends and family and share what you’re feeling. You're not alone. And you can remind them that they're not alone. We’re going to need each other.

(3) Mindfulness Practices: Make meditation, journaling, or mindfulness exercises part of your daily routine. These practices will get you back to the present moment and help to lessen feelings of overwhelm.

(4) Limit Media Time: Stay aware of how much news and social media you consume. I know it’s important stay informed, but watch out for doomscrolling or overexposure, because that will probably make your anxiety worse. Protect yourself with boundaries to safeguard your wellbeing.

(5) Get Professional Support if Needed: If your grief and fear feel too overwhelming, consider reaching out to a therapist or counselor. They can provide guidance and support tailored to your needs.

I have a therapist, and I’m looking forward to  talking to her, so she can help me process my feelings about the election.

I also want to share a process I learned yesterday that I found really helpful.

The Two-Point Process

A friend of mine shared this video with me, and when I tried it, I felt better immediately. I don't know if it would be helpful to you, but I wanted to share it, in case you do find it helps.

As I come to the end of this post, I want to remind you that it's okay to feel what you're feeling, and you’re not alone. Stay connected to your sacred self, put self-care practices into place that will help you cope and reach out for help if and when you need it.

July is Pivotal

Recently, I came across a decades-old high school yearbook picture from 1980. I was 15 years old.

In that picture, I saw my light, I saw my joy. It's the first time I have really understood that the real me has always been there.

But how I looked in the picture was not a reflection of the pain I felt inside. And although I think, now, that I looked adorable, back then I was convinced I was ugly.

I really had no idea who I was back then. But I'm getting to know the real me, now.

We're at a Turning Point

In this video, Kerry K. talks about taking the hardest thing you've ever struggled with and giving yourself permission to become the person whose life now mirrors the opposite. Using herself as an example, she shares that she once was homeless and now, is in the process of building a new home.

Who will I be as Kerry the landowner, she asks.

And she challenges us to do the math when it comes to our own histories.

But more than one thing comes to mind for me.

Do I start with the story that begins with my own longing for home while growing up in a home that felt bleak, dreary and grey and eventually leads to my being homeless, too?

Am I going to have a place to live or where am I going to end up were questions that popped up several times before I was officially homeless and a couple of times since. When I wrote this post, I was still waiting to hear back about an application I submitted for an apartment.

But is homelessness bigger than the identity struggles that arose as a result of childhood incest and sexual abuse? Or the difficulties I had with being myself, instead of my mother?

I think home, trauma and am I my mother might weigh the same. And I'd like to pivot on all of them.

To me, that would mean being cozy, safe and happy in a home I love, fully embodying the innocence and joy that were taken from me, and knowing and being the me that is not and never was my formidable (never let 'em see you sweat) mother.

In what ways might you pivot?

Create Your Own Internal Reality

The political landscape is heartbreakingly bleak?
Be fully present & embodied and stay connected to your divine self.

The people in your life keep arguing with you?
Be fully present & embodied and stay connected to your divine self.

You have chronic illnesses (like I do?)
Be fully present & embodied and stay connected to your divine self.

You need a job or hate the one you have?
Be fully present & embodied and stay connected to your divine self.

You have a problem I haven't mentioned?
Be fully present & embodied and stay connected to your divine self.

I would say that is what to do every day of your life, no matter what's happening. But that's actually Kerry's point, too, in the video.

In the false matrix, the way to elevate your experience was to change your external reality.

But now, we can change our own energy, and radiate a frequency that will have an impact on everyone and everything around us.

It sounds similar to manifestation advice that says something like "live there now," but when that is a mental trick, it doesn't work very well. On the other hand, this is an actual energetic change which works like turning on a light in a dark room.

So if it's possible for your inner goddess to radiate your light and initiate change, where would you aim her?

See you next time!

The Mindfulness Book & Six-Second Solutions

Sacred Breathing is taken by inhaling and letting Spirit expand our consciousness, pausing for a moment to let it pool up and then letting the Spirit breath flow out into the world. - The Mindfulness Book

Do this by setting an intention to take a Spirit Breath, followed by taking a long, slow, deep breath with this intention in mind. The result will be an almost immediate shift in your state of mind and the way you feel.

Picture

The Mindfulness Book

This book is loaded with strategies for doing something I recommend all the time - pausing throughout the day, to make it more mindful or more sacred. I love, too, that you can try his suggestions immediately, as you read them.

Picture
Breathe me and be me. Fill my lungs with Spirit. - The Mindfulness Book

I might modify that last part to say something like, fill my lungs with the divine mother and my goddess self. So, see, you could personalize it and make it more meaningful.

By rhe way, imagine using this or other six-second techniques when you've just been triggered by someone you love. Or you're about to have a challenging conversation.

The spirit-filled breath you just took exhales into the room you're in, with the other person. Into the moment, whatever it is.

Peace, be still
Love, joy, peace
Healing
Compassion
Forgiveness

He suggests using words and phrases that we consider sacred, or that reflect our intention, what we want or need at the time, or want to give. Then, you could pause to see what your inner goddess might want to add to the moment.

Other Six-Second Solutions

There are so many other good ideas in this book that I'm thinking about getting a physical copy, so I can use sticky notes to bookmark the pages.

Picture

Another technique I liked from the book was the suggestion to use mantras once an hour to shift your consciousness. Examples...

the divine mother and I are one.
my sacred self and I are one.
I'm handing this over to Spirit.
I am divine presence
.
God is holding my hand right now.
I'm shifting this experience with my Spirit Breath.
I remember who I am now.
this (grocery store line, bumper-to-bumper traffic, full waiting room) is a sacred gathering.

Except for my parenthetical insertions, that last one was a direct quote. The others were inspired by him, but personalized and altered by me.

Another great suggestion was to use physical objects to remind us to connect spiritually or initiate a shift in consciousness. I carry a crystal (obsidian) in my pocket almost all the time, but hadn't thought to pair it with a specific intention.

A question he suggested for difficult experiences that might represent traumas we are repeating is, how can I let go of this pattern? He reassures us that eventually, the answer will come to us.

In many ways, these solutions are quick strategies for making any experience sacred, and for living a more sacred and mindful life, in general.

I loved almost everything about this book! I wish I'd written it myself. :)

It wasn't very expensive and will be worth whatever you pay for it. I highly recommend it!

Does it interest you?

See you next time!

5 Myths about Awakening Your Inner Goddess

4/22/2024

Awakening your inner goddess is about finding your inner strength, grace, and empowerment, and connecting to your own divinity. But there are some misconceptions and myths I've seen  about the inner goddess and goddess self, so I'm writing this post to help clear them up.

Picture

The Inner Goddess Concept is all about Pampering & Pleasure

Many seem to believe that embracing your inner goddess is about pampering yourself and indulging in superficial pleasures. But the truth is, it's so much more profound and powerful than that.

Awakening your inner goddess is about self-discovery, empowerment, and connecting deeply with your true self. When you connect with your goddess self, there is nothing superficial about it.

Now I'm not saying that self-care rituals aren't a  part of the journey. Ideally, they become the vehicle for deepening your connection with your goddess self. And they serve the higher purpose of nurturing your soul.

That doesn't mean you can't pamper yourself, either. I'm all for it!

But that is not what embracing your inner goddess is about, and I don't want you to miss the deeper opportunity for connection with your divinity, because your attention is only focused on lavish pleasure.

Your inner goddess, your goddess self, is your divinity. It's the truest part of you. So we're talking about a spiritual pursuit and a spiritual connection, not a lighthearted spa experience.

You Have to Be a Perfect
Inner Goddess

We've been conditioned to expect and demand perfection from ourselves and each other. But it's a setup and it's destined to fail.

You have to let that go, especially when it comes to the relationship you're creating with your goddess self. Give yourself the freedom to play and experiment and see how it goes, without judging yourself.

In fact, you are on the right track when you accept yourself fully and love yourself, imperfections and all.

Picture

Your Inner Goddess is Only
Feminine Energy

Connecting with your inner goddess does mean embracing your divine feminine energy.

But it also will create balance between the feminine and masculine energies you carry. It will harmonize them within you.

It's Selfish to Focus on Connecting with Your Inner Goddess

This is a limiting belief that often comes to us from others. When we honor ourselves, prioritize self-care and set healthy boundaries, others may view us as selfish. But don't believe them.

Connecting with your inner goddess will help you develop healthy self-love and self-care practices. It will lead to being more authentic and to living a deeper connection with your divinity.

Shifting in those ways honors your mission, but it is not selfish in any way.

Picture

Awakening Your Inner Goddess
Requires Complex Rituals

Awakening your inner goddess does not require elaborate rituals or ceremonies.

Your inner goddess practice can be as simple as meditating for a few minutes a day, listening to your intuition, practicing gratitude, or creating moments of joy in your everyday life. The core of your practice is connecting with your authentic self and nurturing yourself with kindness and love.

So hopefully, I've dispelled the myths that could really get in your way as you awaken your inner goddess. Are there any that you still need to let go of?

See you next time!

Create Your Own Sacred Rituals

Sacred ceremonies are the bridges between the divine and the mundane, creating moments where time stands still and the soul speaks. - Joseph Campbell

Though cozy everyday rituals provide simple, comforting ways to connect with your goddess self, adding sacred elements to them will make them holy. And those holy moments will raise your frequency, connect you to the sacred and forge an even deeper connection with your inner goddess.

Picture

Cozy Inner Goddess Rituals

Here are examples of ways to make your daily rituals cozy...

(1) Make a cup of tea or other delightful beverage.

(2) Wear cozy clothes & sit in your favorite comfy chair.

(3) Grab a blanket or throw and curl up with it.

(4) Light your favorite scented candle.

(5) Sit by the fire if it's cold enough.

Picture

Sacred Rituals

Light a candle to remind you of your intentions. As you light this candle, get clear on all the things inside yourself and in the world you wish to transform. Place each of those undesired thoughts, feelings and situations into the flame of the candle .... Ask [the divine] to transform and protect you and your world from these things that no longer serve you. - Evangeline Hemrick
Picture

Were you able to feel the sacred energy of that simple, imagined ritual? And did you notice how lighting a candle can be both cozy and sacred?

It's really the intention to connect with the divine that infuses a ritual with sacred energy. But you also can add activities like meditation or contemplative prayer, etc.

(1) Meditation

(2) Contemplative prayer

(3) Creating an altar for the change you want to create

(4) Holding a crystal as you meditate, or giving yourself crystal healing

(5) Clearing the energy of your space beforehand with sound, smoke, an essential oil spray or other tools.

How might you combine cozy and sacred elements to create your own inner goddess ritual?

Manifesting Inner Goddess Expansion

4/19/2024

A couple of weeks ago, I saw this video on YouTube, and was curious to hear more about taking a nap to manifest what you want. After watching, I came away with no new intention to nap more, but I do now have a new manifestation goal. Keep reading, and I'll tell you more. :)

Picture

Manifest from Within it

One of the highlights of this video is his advice to manifest from within the experience of what you want. So if you want a new car, you don't just imagine the color and shape, you hear the key turn in the ignition, you feel the wind as you drive, you notice how smoothly it drives, etc.

Watch the video for more good tips on what will make it much easier to call in what you want.

Inner Goddess Expansion

Want to join me?

Just choose your own wish, and I suggest focusing on only one, and then you can check back in here, to let me know how it's going. And if you want, tell me today what your wish is.

Here's my plan for manifesting change...

THE PROBLEM - you can grow spiritually, and expand and awaken, and connect to your authentic, goddess self, but for the foreseeable future, you're still going to share a body with the false self (personality, ego) you created to survive childhood and make your way in the 3D world.

MY SOLUTION - change the percentages and lessen the false self's influence, so that I get to have more time and experience as and in my divinity. And if that change is successful, then even when I am having false self moments, it will be easier to meet those moments with love, acceptance and compassion, and to shift into being more present as my sacred self.

To my way of thinking, that is a planet-wide mission, and awakened or not, most of us will aim in that direction, even if we don't know why. But this is the first time I've thought of this mission as something that could be manifested.

This is another way to express what I intend to do...

I'm going to focus on shifting to a higher frequency as an everyday experience, which would mean a stronger connection with my divinity. Which would mean being fully present more often, seeing things from a higher perspective more often, living from the heart more easily, and being more inured to the things that lower your frequency. This is inner goddess expansion and I'm going for it!

If you want suggestions for how to connect more easily with the inner goddess part of you, read this post.

Are you aware of this process in your own life, or in the life of our planet, or humanity as a whole?

The awakened healers and lightworkers I write for carry its weight, but I am curious about the experience of those who don't wake up and go to sleep with this mission in mind.

See you next time!

Slow Living & Sacred Self-Care

4/11/2024

Picture

A few weeks ago, I broke my computer.

I know. Let's have a moment of silence & grief.

But anyway, while I was trying to decide how to replace it, I kept wondering why it happened.  It was so random!

Well, because I take personal responsibility for everything that happens in my life, I was puzzled by the choice to create or allow this troubling situation. But I noticed something during those quiet moments.

I WAS MUCH MORE CONNECTED TO MYSELF!

And to the energy around me. Some of the spiritual work I had done in the past month or so began to show itself in a way hat hadn't happened before.

Had I been that distracted?? That disconnected?

Well, I guess so.

I espouse slow living and pauses throughout the day to check in and reconnect. And I thought I was doing it.

But what I came to understand is that I wasn't spending enough time tuning in. I think I need to create a more contemplative lifestyle.

And in retrospect, I believe I was getting that  message, but ignoring it. So this has been an expensive eye-opener.

But I understand that it had to be done, one way or another, because this is a time when the collective is being purged of anything that gets in the way of ascension.

And in keeping with the purge I just mentioned, it's not just sacred moments I had while waiting to get back online. I also became more aware of my shadow self!

Are you experiencing that kind of awareness, too?

Are You Resting Enough?

I mentioned last week that I am being guided to rest more, and to focus on sacred and emotional self-care.

And I think that I am probably not the only one who needs this message. Do you, too?

Let's start with rest.

An instance or period of relaxing or ceasing to engage in strenuous or stressful activity. Slowing down. And focusing on becoming less tense or anxious. Engaging in enjoyable activities so as to become less tired or stressed.

I combined several definitions in that quote in order to create what I believe is meant when we get the nudge or guidance, or when we know we need to rest.

So read that again. Are you doing that often and regularly enough?

If not, take a moment right now to plan something restful that you can do today. And I'd like to encourage you also to think of something restful that you can start doing every day.

And here's another reason to find a way to live more slowly every day...

Slow, soulful living is all about coming back to your truth, the only guidance you'll ever need. When you rush, you have the tendency to follow others. When you bring in mindfulness, you have the power to align with yourself. - Kris Franken, The Call of Intuition
Picture

Sacred & Emotional Self-Care

The foundation of sacred and emotional self-care is slowing down mindfully every day. But what can we build on that foundation?

(1) Daily rituals that help you connect to your sacred self.

(2) Daily rituals that nurture you emotionally and provide ways to let go of stress and tension and process emotional upsets.

Being there for yourself every day.

What would that look like and feel like in your day? Take a couple of slow, deep breaths and then, give yourself a moment or two to imagine it as vividly and with as much detail as possible.

Tell me what you imagined just now, in your comment.

Here are some other ideas...

Emotional Self-Care

National Find a Rainbow Day

4/3/2024

Happy National Find a Rainbow Day! When is the last time you saw one?

The last time I saw a rainbow was a month or so ago. I was visiting my son at his apartment right before he moved to his new house. The apartment was on a lake and it was SO beautiful. I wished I could spend about a week on his screened-in porch just gazing at it. Well, one morning, the waterfall in the lake had a rainbow!

Seeing a double rainbow is also a major sign that life is reminding you to be true to yourself, find your spiritual self and to take time to reflect, discover and grow. - kake.com

What does seeing a rainbow mean to you?

I love the reminder to find your spiritual self, and take time to reflect. That is my basic message. :)

See you next time!

9 Ways to Connect to Your Inner Goddess: A Beginner's Guide

4/2/2024

Before we get into the heart of this guide, let’s talk briefly about who it’s for, what I mean by inner goddess, and what it means to connect with your inner goddess. Then we'll begin talking about how to do it.

Picture

My Intention for this Guide

This guide is most likely to benefit healers and lightworkers who know they are here to help build the new earth, but who sometimes struggle to connect to the truth of who they are. And especially those who wonder if they will ever be able to live from that connected place.

Most of us identify with the false self we created to survive childhood and to successfully make our way in the world. And unlearning this idea that that is who we are, rather than a role we played, takes practice and patience.

But the more we connect, the more familiar our real self becomes, and the easier it will be to tap into that higher frequency version of ourselves.

What is an Inner Goddess?

As I conceptualize it, the inner goddess is the divine feminine energy within every woman. It’s the divine self within you.

But to me, it feels more personal to move the needle from general divine self to divine feminine. And as soon as I began to try to connect with that energy, connecting with my divinity became easier.

With the inner goddess, limitless power is dressed in softer energy. And boundless love feels gently, or at times, fiercely, maternal.

Does that make sense? For me, as soon as I even think “inner goddess,” I feel the internal shift. And that excited me so much, I stopped wanting just to speak of the divine self, without also talking about the divine feminine self.

What it Means to Connect to
the Inner Goddess

It means tapping into empowered strength, deep wisdom, and feminine creativity. It means dropping into your heart and connecting from that place.

This guide will continue to answer those questions as we go along, but I wanted you to be able to read with some context before we began.

Picture

Let's look at how you can connect more deeply  to your inner goddess...

(1) Tapping into Feminine Energy

Your inner goddess wants to live in the peace that feminine energy nurtures. The divine feminine thrives in our internal world, therefore your inner goddess requires reflection, meditation and rest. If you can master the art of doing "nothing," you can start to embrace your inner goddess.
- Keys Soulcare

The inner goddess is feminine. It’s the part of you that inherently knows your worth, strength, and potential.

It's feminine energy characterized by flow, intuition, and nurturing. To tap into this side of yourself, start by embracing empathy, vulnerability, and patience.

Activities such as moon rituals, engaging with water elements, or simply allowing yourself to experience and express emotions freely can enhance your connection to feminine energy.

Here are other ways to connect to feminine energy...

(1) Let go of controlling the outcome - instead of focusing on the exact way you want something to show up or happen in your life, make a commitment to going with the flow.

Allow time for grounding, healing, and balancing your energy. - TimeOut.com
(2) That also means to allow time for rest.

And by rest, I don't just mean getting enough sleep. I also mean down time, where basically, you're not doing anything.

In our hustle culture, where we've all been programmed to rush and hurry and do, until we drop, taking time just to be and to rest is a radical and revolutionary act.

A central tenet of hustle culture seems to be that self-worth is determined by how hard we work—and that taking time off or prioritizing self-care shows a lack of commitment, or, worse, is a sign of weakness. - Fast Company

But the hustle culture is false matrix. In the real one, even the divine rested when she finished creating our world.

(3) Carve out time for pampering yourself and make your own well-being a priority.

(4) Nurture your connections with other women. make time for the sacred connections you have with other women and immerse yourself in feminine energy.

(5) Listening to, singing along with or dancing to music that moves you emotionally. Here's a song that offers the frequency of love...

(2) Slow Living & Sacred Self-Care

These activities foster a deep, intimate relationship with yourself, which is the foundation for expansion and ascension. And what I'm learning from my own experience is that the more contemplative moments you have in your day, the better your inner goddess experience will be.

You'll know yourself better in two ways. You'll  feel the energy and higher frequency of your divinity more often. But you'll also become more aware of your shadow self.

The magic happens as you introduce the two parts of yourself and allow the love, power, light codes and higher frequency of your goddess self to bring light to the shadows. That is sacred self-care at its best.

There are lots of ways to do this, including meditation, journaling, slow sacred rituals. But I am finding that I need more than just a dedicated morning routine, even if there's also an evening one.

In order to have a lasting experience of your divinity throughout the day, you're likely to need unstructured time in addition to the daily ritual you intend.

Even just pausing for a few minutes and placing your hands over your heart can create brief moments of connection.

But you may find that creating a slower, more contemplative lifestyle serves you best.

The promise or reward is a greater awareness of the truth of who you are, that over time becomes a natural, easy everyday experience.

Picture

(3) Tune in to Your Intuition

Intuition is the inner goddess’s voice, guiding you through life’s decisions with wisdom and clarity.

Strengthen your intuition by making time for silence, observing your thoughts and feelings, and trusting your gut. The more you listen to and act on your intuition, the more aligned you will feel with your true path.

I recommend making time every day to sit quietly and listen with your heart open to any guidance you might receive.

Take a moment to try it right now.

Let's start with an exercise I think of as goddess breathing or divinity breathing. You can put your hand(s) over your heart if you'd like, and as you take in a slow deep breath, breathe in the presence of your inner goddess.

Breathe in her love. Breathe in her comfort.

Now sit quietly for a moment and ask her these questions. See what comes to you.

(1) What do I need to let go of today?

(2) What do I need more heart room for today?

(4) Spending Time in Nature

Nature is nurturing and healing, which resonates with the essence of the divine feminine.

Spending time in nature helps you feel connected to the earth and its cycles. And doing so is likely to remind you to honor the cycles within your own. It also can remind you of the power of growth and renewal.

Confession - because of severe allergies, my own connection to nature often happens through the window. But don't knock it 'til you've tried it. I often forge very strong connections to the trees around my homes.

So find your own ways to connect, even if you can't spend lots of time outdoors. The connection you create will open you up in ways you might otherwise miss out on.

Picture

Here are a couple of videos you can use to connect right now. Take a few minutes with each one...

(5) Set Boundaries & Honor them

Boundaries are essential for your well-being and self-respect. They allow you to honor your needs and feelings, creating space for your inner goddess to flourish.

But many of us who are healers and lightworkers struggle to establish and maintain them.

If you're an empath like me, you are likely to have thoughts and feelings and impulses and attitudes that aren't even yours. But they feel like they are, so that makes maintaining the boundaries you need even harder.

Difficult or not, though, learning to say no without guilt, communicate your needs clearly, and distance yourself from situations or relationships that drain your energy is an important part of connecting to your inner goddess. It's a way to practice knowing, connecting with and being the most authentic version of yourself.

(6) Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness is the art of being present and fully engaged with whatever you're doing. It helps you appreciate the beauty of the moment. And that mindful awareness can foster a deep connection with your inner self.

You can practice mindfulness through meditation, mindful eating, or simply observing your thoughts and emotions without judgment. This last part is super important, because judgment lowers your frequency, and when you connect to your inner goddess, your energy frequency is higher.

In the beginning though, making time for a meditation practice may be the easiest way to begin to deepen your connection to your inner goddess. But creating mindful moments can be a great additional source of support for connecting to your goddess self.

Try this brief mindful moment...

Take a deep breath in, and as you let it out, notice any areas of tension in your body. With your next breath, hear the word "peace" in your mind, and send that peace to each of those tense places, pausing for a moment to let it settle in. Now try breathing in your divinity, allowing it to settle in the space around you. Can you feel its comfort? Take one more slow breath and then head back into your day.

Here's are two 7-minute mindfulness meditations you can try.

The first one is accompanied by beautiful nature scenes and bird sounds. It's focus is helping you practice being in the present moment.

The second one begins with mindful breathing but then focuses on encouragement, on self-acceptance, on giving yourself permission to slow down and on a few affirmations you can say internally, such as I am enough, and others.

I actually like the second one a lot better, so you may want to try that one first.

(7) Practicing Forgiveness

Forgiveness, both towards yourself and others, is such a powerful tool for healing. It frees you.

It's hard to know how heavy the weight is of what has not yet been forgiven, until you're able to let it go. Letting go is about more than blame. It's also about releasing resentment.

When you can let it go, you can embrace compassion and understanding.

Here's the thing - the 3D game is rigged, the script written long before you or anyone you've ever known, was born. Keeping that in mind has transformed the way I feel about my traumatic childhood and the parents who created it.

When you are willing to practice forgiveness, you  release yourself from the past and can open your heart, which will change both your present and your future.

Is there anything you want to offer forgiveness to, in this moment? Go ahead and let it go, and feel the peace that takes its place.

(7) Prioritizing Self-Love

Self-love is the foundation of connecting with your inner goddess. It means accepting yourself fully, treating yourself with kindness, and not settling for less than you deserve.

It also paves the way for the acceptance that will need to be a constant companion.

There's a tension between the empowered and limitless feeling you have as you connect to the divine feminine. But ten minutes later, you might react to something negative in a way you wish you hadn't.

The goal - accept all the imperfections while at the same time being present as your goddess self. Love them, again and again, until they begin to dissolve in that love.

Make a commitment to incorporate self-love practices into your routine, such as daily affirmations, self-care rituals, and surrounding yourself with people who celebrate and see the beauty and the light in you.

Try it now - pause for a moment and see if you can feel the love of your goddess self.

Once you can, try saying an affirmation, like I love you forever, no matter what. You are my person and I'll always love you.

Here's a 5-minute self-love meditation you can try. Although the voice is male, imagine that he is conveying the heart thoughts of your inner goddess, or of the divine mother.

(8) Creating Sacred Rituals

Rituals create a sense of sacredness and connect you to your spiritual essence.

Make your daily rituals sacred, including morning meditations, full moon ceremonies, self-care Sundays, or other rituals that will support spiritual connection.

Feel free to add in cozy elements, too. Although your intention is sacred, that doesn't mean that the ritual itself can't be cozy, lighthearted or fun, at times.

They also don't need to be long to be powerful. Especially once you get used to recognizing the energy of your inner goddess.

Here's an example...

(1) Light a tealight candle.

(2) Breathe deeply and slowly for a minute.

(3) Then focus on the candle flame.

(4) Jot down a few words to describe your experience, plus any messages or guidance.

(5) Blow out the candle.

(9) Setting Aligned Intentions

One practice that may help you feel more connected to your inner goddess is to honor her voice and her guidance by setting intentions that are aligned with her vision of your future. Because she's already there and knows exactly how to lead you from here to the future she has planned.

In my own experience, it's not always easy to know the difference between what I think I want, and what would be best. So for me, this recommendation underscores the need to carve out plenty of time for a slower pace and a closer connection.

When something strikes you as the best idea you've ever had, proceed slowly. If you're an idea machine like me, that happens to you all the time, as does the regret from choices you made that turned out not to be aligned.

Try this during your rituals - make a cup of tea, grab your journal, and open to a blank page. if you are making a decision, talk it out, slowly, in writing, pausing for guidance. If you aren't sure of your direction, meditate with no agenda and see what comes to you, in pictures, in words, in a sense that you later gives words to, etc.

Some of my best days are the ones that are somewhat open and I am flowing from one guided activity to another.

Which of these ideas appeals to you most?

See you tomorrow!

Love, Jeanine
