Recently, a phone call woke me up and when I decided to stay awake and get up, my whole morning rhythm felt off. It's so easy to start the day in a weird mood, or more foggy than usual, and have trouble getting back to myself. But this time, when I finally sat down to do my normal morning ritual, everything fell into place. Pause, and begin again. I often have to do that at other times in my day, too. Do you? It's worth taking a moment to do it. You realize your heart is the lantern. It was never outside of you.
