Fall UBC & Hermit Mode

We need to be less reactive with our strong feelings like outrage and fear, because they feed the darkness. Stay in peace and harmony. - a slight paraphrase of what Kerry K. said.

A week ago, I watched a video that clarified my direction in terms of what I want to write about and how I want to structure my offerings.

It reassured me that I'm on the right path in my own spiritual practice, and it confirmed that what I focus on, in general, in my work, is what is most important right now.

Whenever Kerry K. talks about healers and lightworkers, or even humanity, in general, and what she believes we need to be focused on, my thought is, "okay, how can I help?" And this video also had me reflecting on its implications for the work I do.

The Ultimate Blog Challenge,
Fall Edition

Hey beloveds!

Welcome back. It's always so good to see you guys again, and hang out a bit as we make our way through the challenge.

And I'm grateful for the chance to discuss my thoughts with other bloggers and learn about what's going on with you guys.

This month, I'm probably only going to post two or three times a week, and my posts may be shorter than they usually are. There's so much going on, that i don't think I have the bandwidth for more.

What are you planning for your blog this month?

For more info about what's on my mind this month, keep reading.

Healers & Lightworkers:
Going into Hermit Mode

It seems to me, as always, that the most important thing we can do as we navigate life and the way the earth and its energies are changing, is to establish and maintain a solid connection with your higher self and with the divine. Second to that would be self-love, which empowers us to love unconditionally.

Now, these are lifestyle choices I talk about already, but watching the video, which was about what we can expect for the rest of this year, I decided I might need to double down on them. But also, emphasize the need to build a lifestyle around them, because when we don't, it's too easy to let them go in favor of distractions and legitimate time constraints.

In the quote at the beginning of this post, she says we also need a way to live in peace and harmony, so that we are less susceptible to media manipulation and drama. She cautions against being drawn in by salacious media revelations that could distract you from your focus and generate strong negative reactions.

Watch my video for a one-minute explanation of her message and hopefully, you'll understand why it inspired me the way it did. And if you want to know more, watch her video, too.

Heeding the call implies spending time cultivating a lifestyle which supports divine self connection, self-love and emotional self-care. And I think of it as being in hermit mode, because you prioritize yourself in a way that tends to require dedicated alone time.

This lifestyle I'm describing is what I intend to focus on this month, but I hope to help you experience it a bit, not just read about it.

Do you feel inspired, too?

See you next time!

love, Jeanine

P.S. Kerry talks about outrage as a distraction, but I've also been distracted this fall by the pursuit of a capsule wardrobe in my favorite (orange), and other glorious fall colors.
