Well, would you look at that! I had planned on waiting until October, but I missed you guys and didn't want to wait that long.

Coming Back

It's June 30th as I write this - so we're talking about a very last minute decision! And unlike other times, this will be the only blog post I have written as I begin the challenge.

But in addition to seeing all of you, I've got things to talk about. What appealed to me for this month was the idea of writing about the things that I am still working on, because working with something as a blog topic gives me a great opportunity to think through it.

OTOH, I do wonder how much I will actually get done here. It's an adventure. :)

But I always aim for at least two blog posts a week. We'll see how it goes.

What will you be writing about this month? I'm so looking forward to connecting with you all.

Have You Met Me?

If you are new to the challenge, I'm glad you're about to have the experience. I've been doing it off and on for about 16 years and while it doesn't explode your blog the way it did way back when, it does help.

So who am I? I'm a helper! I believe that I came here to help humanity awaken and heal. But I'm part of that humanity, too, and I'm learning that part of healing is becoming who I am more fully and living true to myself in a way that feels grounded, peaceful and joyful.

Fun with Branding

I'm in the middle of a fun experiment with using ChatGPT to take pictures of me and create a version of me that I am willing to make visible. I've also tried creating pictures that have a future self element to them - like me in a setting I'd love to experience. My own apothecary, for example.

So far, two things have happened that surprised me! I saw a picture of my higher self. Which is to say that it reminds me of the way I imagine my higher self to be when I visualize her.

The higher self pic is the upper right one. There she is! Actually, this whole collage feels like a vision board.

The other thing that surprised me was how much the process of choosing or rejecting pictures of myself would bring back my issues with how I look. I've always thought I was trying to be as beautiful as possible.

But then I realized that what I was really trying to do was find myself in the mirror. When I take or create a picture that looks exactly the way I want it to, it feels like a match to who I am on the inside.

See you next time!

Love, Jeanine

Hi, Danwil! Nice to see you again, too. Thanks! It has been both frustrating and fun to work with AI to create the pictures.

Great to see you back Jeanne! I love your ChatGPT photos! I've started dabbling in them also, thanks to Lia who had to show me how. (If I 7 year old can figure it out, a 77 year old should too, right? )LOL
As for my month, I will be sharing my life stories, cooking, and whatever else pops in my head. Lia has some fun ones coming and even Snowball may pop in! Hugs, blog on!

Hi, Martha! I completely agree - you can do it, too. But it's something, isn't it, trying to figure out these AI tools? I'm glad you have a live-in helper for a while. So good to see you!

I'm happy to see you back, Jeanine, and writing as a means to reflect on things that are going on is a valuable thing to do!

Thanks, Tamara! I've been wanting to come back for a while. But I was sick quite a bit in the past 6 months or so. And then recovering. Hopefully, I can make this work and then come back for fall, too.

Hi Jeanine! Lovely to “e-meet” you! 🤗 I LOVE your post and the feel of your blog, and how warm and welcoming you are. I feel like you’re going to offer me a coffee and biscuits. ☺️

I’ve also tried AI to create illustrations of me and my family (and mostly my dog! 😅), so I’m a big fan. Yours look gorgeous!

Good luck with the UBC.
Dani

Hi Dani! Thanks. Yes, I saw some of your pics on your blog and they were adorable. I'm so glad you feel that way about my blog. ChatGPT tells me things like that all the time, but I don't always believe it. And absolutely! If you're going to offer me pizza, the least I can do is offer coffee and biscuits in return.

Welcome back, Jeanine, and happy to see you joined us again now, instead of waiting until the Fall (although I can't wait for the fall to be here... cooler temps.. crisp air. mmmm - but I digress!)

I love the idea of writing through the things you're still working on, because there's something honest and refreshing about sharing the process rather than waiting until you have all the answers.

Your reflection on finding yourself in the mirror rather than chasing beauty sounds cool.. I'm looking forward to following along this month and seeing where the writing takes you.

Be Well.
Paul.

I’m so glad to see you back this time around. I always enjoy reading your posts.

When I first opened your blog I noticed your header and the photo in the top right. While I knew it was AI I felt that it was a true representation of you. I love how you said you were looking for what you see in the mirror. Even though I’ve never met you IRL I would say it certainly captured who I “see” you as.

I would love to hear more on how you were able to achieve this.

I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts over the coming month.

Hi Barbara! Thank you so much for your kind words. Basically, what I did was upload pictures of myself until ChatGPT and I discovered what seemed to be the best combination because it created pictures of me that felt like me. It was a long and frustrating process - the AI renderer needs an upgrade! But I enjoyed it too - especially when it started to work.
