*waves with enthusiasm* Hi, everyone! It's so good to begin this spring edition of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and see all of my favorite bloggers again. And meet new ones. I love the way we discuss new ideas, share wisdom and have great conversations with each other. Basically, we live the month together, even when we don't see each other every day. Here's What I've Been Up to Since the Last Time We Were Here(1) I Moved - if you know me well, you may know that for several years, I lived with four roommates, and then for a while with three, after one of them passed away last year. Well, losing our roommate & friend occasioned the need to move to find more affordable lodging. And after a LONG wait, we finally moved two by two (like Noah's Ark, LOL) into a senior complex a few cities away, but still in GA. My son found the apartment complex and he helped me and my roommate move in when the time finally came. I love it! Both my bedroom and our living room will need a bit of a zhush as time goes by, but I love them all the same. You should see the light coming in! I always felt like I was living in a dungeon in the apartment I was in before. (2) The Fearless Lightworker - I created this toolkit and I am quite pleased with myself. :) A lot has been changing in our world and it probably feels chaotic to many, if not most of us. But for lightworkers, it's like a new assignment. How can we be of service while at the same time navigating our own internal responses to it all? Well, I believe we work as a collective (even when we don't know it.) But I think the answer to this question is singular. We have to take super good care of ourselves, which includes giving ourselves love, staying grounded and staying connected with our higher selves. As if we are watching things unfold from within the loving energy of our higher selves. But I've talked to a lot of lightworkers who feel stymied. And at times, I've felt a bit undone myself. So this toolkit goes right to the heart of our fear, feelings of helplessness, anger, grief and other difficult feelings and offers a way back to remembering the truth of who we are and a path to the inner harmony we need. The Fearless LightworkerHere's what's in it... 3 recorded guided meditations - Remember Who You Are - Becoming Fearless - Anchoring the Light A guided meditation journal that includes the written versions of each meditation, followed by journal prompts to help you integrate each one. A ritual for letting go of fear and other difficult feelings, with 5 journal prompts that will help you identify those feelings you've been holding onto. A cheat sheet for nurturing & protecting your energy that will help you get and stay grounded. Wondering why it's only $7? Well, I think that's a fabulous question! :) The thing is, I know it can change your life, if you let it. And how do you put a price on that? If it's true value is priceless, then what difference does it make how much I charge for it? Well, it might make a big difference to those of us who need it. A lot of us need solutions that are easily affordable. And for me, $7 is a hamburger and strawberry milkshake at McDonald's. Or 2 apple danish bear claws if I stop in at Parker's for sweet tea. It's half the cost of a romance novel I've been looking at, but haven't yet purchased. I have the Amazon tab open, though. What does $7 look like in your life? For me, these are all treats I might occasionally choose, but could do without in favor of choosing something that might really help me. And that's how I chose the price. How to Decide if this Toolkit is Something You Might NeedHave a cup of tea while thinking about these questions... (1) Have you been struggling with any fear this year? Or other difficult feelings? (2) Is it hard for you to stay grounded or create a sense of inner harmony? (3) Have you been thinking about how you need to take better care of yourself emotionally, in general? (4) Do you find yourself reacting to the news and then have trouble getting back to peace afterward? Are you worried about what's happening in the world? (5) If not, are there challenges in your own life that you're finding difficult to handle? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then right now, as I'm writing this, I'm wishing for love to wrap itself around you and not let go. But I also offer you this toolkit, because I believe it will help. What about You?What have you been up to since the last time we connected? Also, is there a theme you'll be writing about this month? Let us know in the comment section. I'll be writing about moving into your own self-care era (I love the way the kids are talking about eras these days.), but also, how to deal with anxiety and fear and other stressful feelings. See you tomorrow! Love, Jeanine P.S. April Energy UpdateI had pre-written this post already, by the time I watched Kerry K's April Energy Update video, but I found it so compelling, I decided to share it with you. She speaks of an experiment, too. She says that April will be a month when the doors of possibility open wider than usual, and both the highest highs and the lowest lows become possible on both the global and individual scale. War, and the end of war. Your highest good and the worst thing you've ever worried would happen. And everything in between, We will choose, with focused awareness. But I don't mean "red car, red car, red car" or "dream house, dream house, dream house." Instead think of pausing frequently throughout the day to invite in your highest good. Or to feel your love for your kids and your spouse and your best friends. But also, that family member who isn't speaking to you, and the friend who tries to make you feel small. I am pausing in between these sentences and paragraphs to connect with the energy of inner harmony. Let me know if you feel that as you read this. So let's experiment with focused awareness this month. Connecting to higher consciousness and your higher self. Opening your heart to love. But also, avoiding the news and social media as much as you can, so you don't give your energy away to the things you hope will not manifest. Shall we try it? Love you guys!

I was watching the following reading on YouTube, and as I listened, and she drew cards, it felt like this was a message for the lightworker collective, and I wanted to help spread the word. I even got some extra AI help interpreting the reading... My Notes from the ReadingI shared with ChatGPT what stood out to me and what I remembered from the reading, and asked it to expand the message. Hi ChatGPT! Please combine these concepts from an intuitive reading and expand on it. Living with comfort and peace no matter what's going on in the world. Knowing you are safe and you are home now. The High Priestess card twice and the Hermit card. Showing others the way and being a light. Soft gentle energy. Stay on this path, you are where you're meant to be. Here is ChatGPT's ExpansionHere’s an expanded reflection on those themes: In a world that often feels chaotic, uncertain, and shifting beneath our feet, there is a deeper truth that remains unshaken: You are home now. Not in the sense of a physical place, but in the sanctuary of your own being. No matter what happens externally, peace is always available within you. The presence of the High Priestess—twice—amplifies this message. She is the guardian of inner wisdom, the embodiment of quiet knowing. She whispers, "Trust yourself. The answers you seek are already within. Be still, and you will remember." Her energy invites you to move beyond the noise of the world and into the deep, sacred space of intuition. There, in that silent knowing, comfort and clarity emerge. The Hermit walks this path as well, carrying the lantern of truth, lighting the way for others. This is not a journey of isolation but of mastery. The Hermit is a seeker who becomes a guide. You, too, are being called to be a light—whether through your presence, your words, or your way of being. The world needs those who can hold steady, who can show others that peace is not found out there, but within. There is a softness to this path, a gentle unfolding. No need to force or rush. Just as the High Priestess sits in quiet receptivity, just as the Hermit walks with patience and care, you are exactly where you need to be. Trust that. Stay on this path. Even when the world outside feels turbulent, remember: You are safe. You are home. And your light is needed. Journal Prompts for this ReadingI've got my cup of yummy tea next to me and would like to think through and/or journal about this reading a little more. Here's what I'll be asking myself. Want to reflect along with me? (3) If I am exactly where I need to be, and you are home now is the deeper truth, then can I accept the parts of my current experience that worry, frustrate or disappoint me? Can I ground myself in a sense of satefy, of being home, no matter what's wrong at any particular moment? (4) If peace is always available to me, how can I experience more of it? (5) If the world needs people who can hold steady, then I want to do that and be that! So what would make that easier for me? What would that look like in terms of how I spend my time or what I devote myself to each day? How would you answer these questions for yourself? And are there other thoughts and questions coming up for you? See you next time! Love, Jeanine Last week, I wrote a post where I shared some intuitive prompts that could be used in a self-love reading. Basically, asking your own intuition how to love yourself more right now. And this week, I read the transcript for a podcast episode about radical self-love. The author is Kara Loewentheil and she comes to the topic from a feminist perspective, saying that radical self-love is a political act of refusal, for anyone steeped in cultural oppression. Her point of view is that being marginalized teaches you not to love yourself and to put your own needs last on your to-do list. I highly recommend this episode, and I want to talk more about radical self-love today. The more marginalized identities you live in or with, the more ways you’re told that you’re not good enough. So if you are Black or Indigenous or a person of color, if you are fat, if you live with a disability or a chronic illness, if you’re neurodivergent, if you’re LGBTQ+, if you’re a “minority” religion, if you’re poor, and there’s many other aspects. I am in so many of these marginalized communities she named! How about you? Oppressive Ideology is Insidious: You're Living it but Don't Know itIf someone asked you, do you believe that you re inherently less worthy of good things or a good life than other people are, you would probably say no. But if you belong to a marginalized community, like I do, odds are you are living like you do believe that and you probably don't even know it. Think about the situations and the relationships you are putting up with right now. One of the biggest arguments for wholeheartedly pursuing radical self-love is that what you experience on the outside is always going to be a mirror of the love you have for yourself inside. If life is mistreating you, and you have a hidden belief that that's what you deserve, not only will you put up with it, you'll mistreat yourself, too. But if you begin to treat yourself a lot more kindly, and offer yourself more compassion and acceptance, you won't settle for less from others. What if You Could Start Treating Yourself with Reverence?I asked Google what it means to treat yourself with reverence and here was its AI overview in response... To "treat yourself with reverence" means to regard yourself with deep respect, almost like you would a sacred or highly valued thing, acknowledging your worth and treating yourself with care and consideration, not taking your own well-being for granted; essentially, showing yourself the same kind of profound respect you might show someone you deeply admire. Here are a few links Google offers in the sidebar... What Would Reverence Change? What Does Reverence Mean? The Gift of Reverence So imagine for a moment that most of the time, you treated yourself with reverence and radical self-love. (1) What would that look and feel like? (2) What do you think would change? Google suggests that you would begin to regard yourself with wonder and appreciation because of who you are, accepting your flaws with compassion and valuing yourself deeply in spite of them. You'd take better care of yourself each day and challenge your negative self-talk by saying things to yourself that are kinder and more loving. You would spend more time with yourself, thinking about what you value and identifying your boundaries. A couple of the other links offered suggested treating yourself the way you would treat someone you admired and adored. Imagine that, why don't you? If you treat yourself with love and care and respect and reverence, when you come across someone who doesn’t,... you won’t understand why they would think you would want what they’re offering you. When you love yourself radically & completely, you're simply not available for any other kind of love. Know Your Own ValueWhen you don't know your own value, you will expend a lot of energy trying to get others to see it. Defending it. And if you don't love yourself, you'll do back flips to get people to love you, because you can't imagine they'd love you just because of who you are. If that's where you are right now, and if you are recognizing yourself in this post, know that you can change the way you think and feel about yourself. The first step is to realize that without knowing it or meaning to, you have internalized societal messages about who you are and what you deserve. What that means is that there is a lot of thinking and feeling inside you that is not based on the truth. The next step is to take this truth on faith until you can believe it for yourself: there are subtle accusations floating around out there, and inside, and you are innocent of every charge. You are lovable and good and you deserve to be honored and respected, no matter what. The third step is to commit to treating yourself as if what you just read is true, starting today. Be willing to live in the in-between stage where you don't quite believe it, but you're going to act like you do. Not faking it until you make it, but trusting it until you come to know the truth of it in your soul. This is my pledge, too. I am on the same journey. And here at this blog, I promise to inspire you with lots of ways to reach for comfort, joy and delight. See you next time! Love, Jeanine Yesterday was a long, draining day full of stress and some drama. So I didn't get to do the self-love reading that would have been perfect for Valentine's Day. But today, I'm having a wonderful day. Lovely cup of vanilla tea, a candle that smells like cinnamon rolls and a view of the tree outside my window. So here we go. I'll be using the Ostara deck from the Seasons of a Witch series. And the suggested self-love spread from Sisters Enchanted that came in my email from them yesterday. Here's the reading, using the questions and spread above... (1) What Does My Heart need from Me Most Right Now?Aries: You are being called to step into the flame with an ignited vision of your desires. Time is of the essence. Based on the keywords for this card, I'd say that my heart longs for me to step fearlessly into an initiation into my new life. I moved recently, and have pretty high hopes for what is possible here. On the other hand, those possibilities will ask me to completely let go of the old patterns and beliefs, and exchange them for a fearless belief in what I can do with these chances I've been given. What do you wish to release or reclaim, this card asks. It also warns me not to lose my nerve as I set intentions and then, get going to make those dreams come true. THE INTENTIONS I SET, INSPIRED BY THIS CARD Every day, recommit to believing in my own magic and to finding ways to connect to it each day. Commit to my desire to help sensitive healers connect & reconnect to the energies of the higher timeline, doing so gently and from a place of comfort. Reach for comfort, joy and peace in my own life, every single day. This is my self-love, honring my heart's call. (2) How Can I Best Show Myself Compassion at this Moment?Eostre: In the darkest of hours when all seems to be lost comes the magic of light. I go through a difficult time each year, related to the lack of sunlight in winter, but also to the influx of pollen in the spring. And surrendering to that time, accepting it, is so hard! I think this card is about being as compassionate as I can whilst in the middle of it, and reminding myself that this too shall pass. It's also about finding ways to bring light into the darker moments, even if I can't get rid of the darkness completely. Above all, this is your sign to keep with your current path. That message encourages me, too, to keep going even if I get discouraged, and to hang on to my faith. I'm making a commitment today, to do so. So self-love, for me, means compassion and determination to stay the course. (3) Where am I Relying too Much on Others to Feel Loved?Composting: It is through remembrance of the past that you can create a more purposeful future. I think, in light of the card before, this card is about taking what I would normally think of as wasted time and find ways to turn it into blessings and opportunity. What's coming to my mind right now is that when the rest of the world is springing into action, I can stay on the path, but continue to prioritize rest. And compassionate self-care. Maybe I can actively plan for ways to experience more joy at home (avoiding the pollen). While still staying committed to my intentions. Planning ahead for joy at home - that might be my best self-love strategy for spring. (4) How Can I Best Incorporate a Self-Love Practice into My Day?Sacred Circle: A dive into the depths of the unknown within beckons your becoming. Ah-ha! This card is perfect for the question. It encourages you to do something different than you normally would, to do something new. I think for me, this is about putting joyful plans in place to do as part of a daily ritual, but also, to make plans with friends. My mind is buzzing with ideas right now and I'm about to go write them down. I'm excited! |
