Welcome to the winter edition of The Ultimate Blog Challenge!

How was Christmas?

Picture
How was your holiday season? This picture is me in the middle of my Black Friday, holiday shopping adventure.

A couple of weeks later, I dedicated the Winter Solstice week to taking time to reflect on what I want to feel and experience in 2025.

Visions of Comfort & Joy in 2025

The two different vision boards below are an expression of what I committed myself to for the year ahead. But they also reflect my intention to live the vision I have for my work this year.

I'm focusing on self-tending (as always), but with a gentler touch, and with comfort & joy, for sensitive healers who feel everything so deeply, but sometimes have difficulty working through them. Especially when life is challenging.

I will be writing more as we blog this month.

Inspired to Live the Impossible

The challenge within that quote is part of my inspiration for 2025.

Given the world as we currently know it, what could be more impossible than dedicating your year to self-tending, and to creating comfort, joy, and delight? But that's my intention.

I realized that I have claimed a similar intention for quite some time, but my secret, most real intention was actually to get things done. Let's see if I can swing the balance toward what I say matters most, this year.

An Elemental Vision Board

Picture

The Sisters Enchanted were the ones who led my Winter Solstice experience that week, and they suggested thinking about what you want the elements to bring you in 2025. In order, above, I have Fire, Water, Earth and Air.

The picture below is a becoming board, suggested in a video by the Body Brain Alliance. The idea is to think of what you want to become, or embody, in the year to come, and then create a board that imagines what you would be doing once the shifts you wanted are complete.

The magic of surrounding a picture of yourself with keywords was my idea.

Create a Becoming Board

Are you thinking about the kinds of things you might put on a becoming board? Or an elemental one?

Happy New Year

What are your hopes and dreams for this new year?

See you next time!

Happy New Year. I had a nice relaxing Holiday. We did not do Christmas this year, But, instead I kind of went back to my roots, starting with the Winter Solstice through the season of lights, witch ends of the six of January.

Hi, Brenda! That sounds powerful - going back to your roots. I am so happy I did the winter solstice week, myself, because I often say I will and then get busy with other things. I'm doing a 12 Days thing, too, and I am loving seeding the year I want to experience as I move through he days.

Thanks, Julie! I like using the word impossible, too, because it opens up the idea that what I want to do or experience only *seems* impossible.

I love this! This is an amazing first post. I've read so much on vision boards and never attempted one. Maybe during the challenge I will. ♥

Thanks so much, Gracelynne!! I have done many that I really couldn't even connect to emotionally. But I feel connected to these. That would be great, if you did, even if just for fun.

I love your vision boards, what a great way to kick off the year! I did a ritual last night called “funeral for the old year” it involved celebrating all of my accomplishments in 2024 and eulogizing one big thing that held me back and that I won’t be taking into the New Year. My husband and I did this together, it was fun to acknowledge the accomplishments and really fun to get dramatic with the eulogy. What a release!

Excited to read your blogs this month, Jeanine!

Oh how wonderful, Kimberly! Especially that you guys did it together. Sounds really powerful. I did a burning bowl ritual yesterday, but added my favorite candle and a cup of tea to the process, and it was delightful. Best time I've ever had letting something go.

Happy new year, dear Jeanine! 🎉🍀💖🥂🍾
Love your Grinch sweater 😎

Your intentional approach to vision boards is inspiring, especially the contrast between drawing on elemental energies and visualizing the person you wish to become. It feels like a beautiful way to balance inner reflection with forward momentum!

I will share my vision board in an upcoming post, keep your eyes open.

Jeanine, Happy New Year! I love everything you've offered in this piece today. It's so important to celebrate the Go(o)d we bring. The element-based Becoming board is a lovely idea. As to impossibility-- my life is impossible, so I feel you there. So much impossible occurs in my life, and it's wonderful. Let's envision what we want. All blessings to you!

Great to see you back in the challenge. Love your pictorial vision boards. Had a different Christmas but great to have my daughter and son-in-law with me. As for the New Year, I'm taking it a day at a time.
