February is a sort of last-chance month for getting the preparatory rest you need for a full burst of potential as spring blossoms and blooms.

Imagine that each time you rest, you are nurturing the growth of whatever wants to be birthed through you this year. And you'll have all of nature's silent support.

But consider also that not getting enough rest, in general, is an unfortunate, but likely form of self-sabotage. You know that you deserve to get the rest you need, right?

Chronic Stress Takes it Toll:

Over time, repeated activation of the stress response takes a toll on the body. Research suggests that chronic stress contributes to high blood pressure, promotes the formation of artery-clogging deposits, and causes brain changes that may contribute to anxiety, depression, and addiction.. More preliminary research suggests that chronic stress may also contribute to obesity, both through direct mechanisms (causing people to eat more) or indirectly (decreasing sleep and exercise). - read this Harvard article to learn more...
